Telus Sky Tour
On September 21st, 2021. Students had the opportunity to tour the Telus Sky Tour. Over a two hour period, students learned about this mixed-use high rise and gained insight in the overall building and application process for this project.
2nd Annual: Westman Centre Case Competition
January 2020 marked the 2nd annual Westman Centre for Real Estate Studies sponsored Case Competition. Tasked redeveloping 1010 6th Ave SW into a feasible multifamily residential dwelling building for Attainable Homes Calgary, four teams had the opportunity to research, create, compete & present their project to a panel of industry professionals.
Westman Village: Site Tour
In September 2019, RESA was invited to tour the Westman Village development, hosted by Jay Westman, Chairman & CEO, and Wallace Chow, Executive Vice President, of Jayman BUILT. RESA members were given the opportunity to experience Calgary's first resort-style, master-planned community. The vision of Westman Village is to incorporate multi-generational living into an amenity-rich community of condo units.
JLL & Colliers Office Tours
Both the JLL & Colliers International Calgary offices hosted RESA in the winter of 2020. A combined office tour and networking event gave members the opportunity to meet industry representatives, making key connections ahead of job releases. Topics discussed included Valuation & Advisory Services, Real Estate Management Services, brokerage positions, development, and the Acceleration/Advisor Program.
